FDA Extends MOCRA Enforcement – act now for smooth registration of cosmetic products
In its recent announcement, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that it will delay enforcement of MOCRA facility registrations and product listing requirements until 1 July 2024. Originally, a deadline of 29 December 2023 was set here.
This decision gives companies that produce or market cosmetic products an additional six months to fulfil the legal requirements regarding the registration of cosmetic establishments and the listing of cosmetic products. In particular, this concerns the registration obligation for establishments that manufacture or process a cosmetic product for the first time after 29 December 2022, as well as the listing obligation for cosmetic products that are placed on the market for the first time after 29 December 2022.
