WESSLING publishes Code of Conduct for Suppliers under the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act

In an age of increasing global networking and responsibility, we at WESSLING remain committed to ethical, social, and ecological standards throughout our business activities, including our supply chain.

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, our policy is to demand transparent and responsible business practices from our suppliers to comply with human rights, labour, environmental and anti-corruption standards throughout our supply chain.

With the introduction of the Supply Chain Duty of Care Act (LkSG) in Germany at the beginning of 2024, companies with more than 1,000 employees will now be legally obliged to ensure that their supply chains meet the highest ethical and environmental standards. These standards, based on national laws and international norms such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Guidelines on the Rights of the Child, serve as a basis for fulfilling due diligence obligations throughout the supply chain.

The principles of the LkSG are an integral part of our self-imposed Code of Conduct, which can be downloaded here.

We believe that a transparent and ethical supply chain is an essential part of our commitment to a sustainable future. We are actively working to realise these values throughout our business. That is why we demand a responsible supply chain from our suppliers. This not only reflects our corporate values, but also contributes to the positive development of global society and the protection of the environment.
