Green mission in Altenberge

Just over a year ago, the AlexGalaWerk of the Alexianer Werkstätten took over the maintenance of the outdoor facilities at the company headquarters of WESSLING in Altenberge.

“When we were looking for a new service provider for our gardens last year, we quickly came across the Alexianer Werkstätten,” says Tobias Mennebäck, Head of Facility Management at WESSLING, a consulting, analysis, and testing company. Previously, the Alexianer Werkstätten in Amelsbüren had already been commissioned for packaging and assembly. The founding couple, Erwin and Agnes Weßling, have also, in the past, been very enthusiastically involved in the Garden of Silence in Münster.

The garden-landscape team of the Alexianer Werkstätten maintains the outdoor facilities at WESSLING in Altenberge: from left, Felix Pricking and Johannes Paus (Alexianer Werkstät-ten), Tobias Mennebäck and Werner Kamp (WESSLING), Raphael Gdanietz, Mattes Adick and Sven Kohlmann (Alexianer Werkstätten).

So there have already been several touchpoints; now a team of five takes care of the lawn, flower beds and shrubs of the family business once a week. The AlexGalaWerk is a multiprofessional inclusive team. Landscape gardeners accompany and qualify employees of the Alexianer Werkstätten on their way or on their way back into the working world. At the moment the weather is hardly giving the team a rest: “A lot of tasks have accumulated due to the many rainy days in May,” explains team leader Johannes Paus. Together with his colleagues, due to the summer conditions, he is in constant action.

The colleagues of WESSLING in Altenberge are always pleased to see the garden team at work in front of their laboratories and offices. In the coming weeks, major changes will be made to the extensive grounds - for example, a wildflower meadow will be refreshed, and outdoor areas will be replanted after renovation work.
