Good manufacturing practice in the cosmetics industry

Safe in the implementation of GMP requirements – this is the guiding principle of the online seminar “Good Manufacturing Practice in the Cosmetics Industry”, which will be held by the renowned Behr's Akademie on 9 February 2022. Three WESSLING experts from the fields of cosmetics and consumer goods are among the speakers. They will provide the participants with expert advice on the following topics:

Dr Sebastian Bertram, graduate biologist, and senior safety assessor for cosmetic products at WESSLING, will deal with cosmetics GMP (ISO 22716) in his presentation and provide insight into the standard and its essential requirements for cosmetic products. He will also present the production journey from the “raw material input to the finished cosmetic product” to the participants of the webinar,

Annemarie Hess, a graduate food chemist and WESSLING expert for cosmetic products, will also provide in-depth insights into the topic of raw material procurement. Aspects such as compliance with specifications, safety data sheets and the correct interpretation of analytical results are not only part of her professional expertise, but also of her presentation.

Christiane Schinor, state-certified food chemist and WESSLING expert in the field of product safety and consumer goods, will follow on from this. The topic of her presentation will be packaging materials. She provides information on requirements, ordinances, and regulations. Another aspect of her presentation is the implementation in practice, whereby special features of the use of recyclates in packaging materials will be highlighted.
