Excellent occupational health and safety standards, once again confirmed, at WESSLING

WESSLING has thus held the seal of approval without interruption since 2015. A special feature of this year's audit is that since March 2023, the engineering consultancy services have been transferred to a separate company, WESSLING Consulting Engineering. Still, the entire WESSLING company – laboratory analysis and consulting engineers – was audited as part of ‘Systematic Safety’. “We strive for the highest standards, which is why all our sites in Germany have once again been inspected for occupational health and safety by the German Employers' Liability Insurance Association for the Raw Materials and Chemical Industry,” explains Michael Andrees, Business Unit Manager at WESSLING Consulting Engineering, who was in charge of the re-audits.

All the company's internal health and safety management measures were subjected to a thorough, voluntary inspection by the BG RCI, which lasted several days. The experts from the Employer's Liability Insurance Association examined the compliance with and the quality of the systematic occupational health and safety measures. “For us, ‘Systematic Safety’ is not just a label we want to put on a shelf, but an efficiently organised approach to occupational safety in all areas of our business. After all, we are responsible for the health and safety of our customers as well as our colleagues,” explains Marcel Brokbartold from the Hamburg location, who also played a central role in the successful re-audit.

Among other things, the auditors examined occupational health care, on-site health promotion and the continuous qualification and training of employees. The renewed award of the ‘Systematic Safety’ seal of approval is a further example of the fact that the entire WESSLING workforce is aware of the importance of occupational health and safety management in all areas of the company's broad portfolio of consulting and laboratory analysis services.
