Life Cycle Assessment
The purpose of a life cycle assessment is to evaluate the entire life cycle of a product from the extraction and production of raw materials through energy production and material production to application, waste treatment and final disposal.
The findings on environmental impacts indicate your consumption of resources, allowing the potential for financial savings to be derived. In addition, the advantages and disadvantages of different products and processes can be identified. Life cycle assessments are also a valuable component of presenting your sustainability efforts transparently to the consumer and can be used in your sustainability report.
A life cycle assessment study comprises four phases:
1. Definition of purpose and scope of investigation
2. Life cycle inventory
3. Impact assessment
4. Evaluation

The aim and scope of a balance sheet can vary depending on the system limits set. There are different approaches:
