Concentrated Expertise for more Quality of Life

A place where scientists, engineers, companies and universities can come together to concentrate their expertise and work on solutions and innovations. Through the WESSLING Knowledge Center, the family-owned company from Altenberge has invested in a promising future for its Budapest location.

Managing director László Zanathy welcomed István Lepsényi, State Secretary of the Ministry of National Economy, and the mayor of Újpest, Zsolt Winthermantel, and many customers and representatives from the fields of industry, economy and research at the opening ceremony. The significant investment in the Knowledge Center, with highly skilled people was also a sign of the company’s long-term planning and a significant milestone to strengthen relations between economy and science, emphasised Diana Weßling. Company founder Dr Erwin Weßling was glad that the corporate culture marked by cultural diversity and cross-border cooperation can further unfold.

For twenty-five years the experts at WESSLING Hungary support their customers with reliable know-how and help to make profound decisions on environmental protection, food safety and health issues. Scientific, fact-based methods for food safety, risk assessment and management systems would play a specific role within the next years, said László Zanathy. They served to continuously improve the quality of life. The Knowledge Center will closely cooperate with Budapest’s Eötvös Loránd University and the Szent István University of Gödöllő.

“Now we are really ready. The building is beautiful, the facilities are super-modern and inviting… The WESSLING Knowledge Center has been completed, registered by the authorities and is ready to be used. Everything is now in place for high quality work. We just have to carry it out!”
