Münsterland think tanks: WESSLING are in!
WESSLING is known for a lively culture of innovation, which is enlivened by a broad network of research institutions, among other things. We are therefore very pleased that our expert Dr Jens Reiber will be part of the regional Think Tanks for the project Enabling Networks of the Münsterland e.V. In these modern Think Tanks, experts from business, science and networks work together on recommendations for action, concepts and ideas for the future of the region. WESSLING contributes its expertise from the competence field ‘life sciences’.
The project was launched in spring 2020, and the Think Tanks will now meet twice a year until 2022, during which we will work together to initiate and propel innovative ideas. “I am very much looking forward to the exchange,” says Dr Jens Reber, who is eagerly anticipating the start date. He is already working intensively with partners from universities and industry on various other projects, including microplastics. “My experience is that this creates a dynamic and new opportunities from which all sides can only benefit.”
About the funding project “Enabling Networks”
The regional network initiative establishes an interface between regional innovation promotion and companies, science, business development, politics and the public. This goal is to be achieved with two packages of measures, of which the Think Tanks are the first step. The project is funded by the European Union and the NRW Ministry of Economic Affairs as part of the ERDF call for proposals “Regio.NRW”. Please find more information here (German).
