Will you be finishing your secondary education soon and are interested in an apprenticeship at WESSLING? Then have a look in our career portal find out more about the many opportunities you have as a trainee in our company.
With us, you can start your career in the chemistry laboratory, in the field of construction drawing, in IT, or as an industrial management assistant in the administration department. Or are you interested in a dual study programme? Then contact us to apply for the chemical engineering training course we offer in collaboration with the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Mannheim.
In our company, trainees learn varying professions at a number of different WESSLING Group sites. One of our core apprenticeships is laboratory analysis for chemical laboratory assistants. Here you learn to use spectroscopic and chromatographic methods, analytical coupling techniques, and microbiological and biochemical work methods; as well as quality management.
If you train as an industrial management assistant or business person for office management, you will be employed in our various departments, where you will learn the relevant commercial and business processes.
In our specialist IT training course, you will get to know the infrastructure of our company. We train you.
We offer our trainees good future prospects. During theapprenticeship, we constantly familiarise our trainees with the tasks they will later assume as responsible chemical laboratory technicians or in other occupations. In addition to an attractive training allowance, we award certificate and graduation prizes for particularly good grades. We promote good grades by supporting our trainees with internal instruction and leave of absence during the learning phases. Thanks to the excellent networking of our European laboratories, traineeships at other locations abroad are also possible. Following completion of their apprenticeship, we are keen to take on qualified trainees as permanent employees.
In 2017, the new chemical engineering course began at the DHBW in Mannheim. It combines apparatus-based process engineering with chemistry and biology and opens up new perspectives for science-oriented students. With the WESSLING Group as your dual partner, you benefit from a combination of theoretical teaching at the university and practical experience with us.
The programme comprises six semesters. It combines a process-oriented chemistry and bioengineering course (CBIW) with a laboratory-oriented technical and applied chemistry course (TAC). Like all DHBW courses, these are credited with 210 ECTS credits. On successful completion of the programme, you will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.).
In addition to interdisciplinary work, as a student you acquire knowledge about processes in plants of the converting industry and operations in the WESSLING laboratories at the Weiterstadt and Walldorf sites. In your later professional life, as a graduate of this programme, you will know how to transfer the findings of chemists and biologists in the laboratory to the pilot and production plant. Furthermore, you will provide process and mechanical engineers with important parameters for the mechanical design of plant and machinery.
The application period for 2019 commences on 01/01/2019.
